We are pleased to announce our participation in the special exhibition “Dream – In Connection with the New Year’s Poetry Gathering Theme.” The New Year’s Poetry Gathering (Utakai Hajime) is a graceful Imperial court ceremony that unites the Imperial Family and the people through traditional Japanese poetry (waka). Since 1996, the Jingu Museum has made it an annual tradition to host a special exhibition inspired by the theme of the Utakai Hajime.
This year’s exhibition is centered on the 2025 (Reiwa 7) theme for the New Year’s Poetry Gathering: “Dream.” The exhibition presents artworks in two main approaches to this theme. Reiji Hiramatsu will present his folding screen work “Monet’s Pond – Dream of Spring and Autumn” in Chapter One, titled “Dreams Seen at Night.”
If you are in the area, we warmly invite you to visit.
