[Work explanation]
In 2011 , when an unprecedented natural disaster struck and the whole of Japan was frightened by the threat of nature, Hiramatsu had the desire to paint the sea and Mt. Fuji in order to protect the beautiful nature of Japan and the spirit of the Japanese people. It has sprouted. This work is one of a series of works that began with the artist's thoughts. Mt. Fuji, the symbol of Japan, is covered with many red and white plum blossoms, which represent good fortune. In addition, the blue sea waves surrounding Mt. Fuji are a pattern called ``Seigaiha.'' The pattern of the waves, which overlap and spread out endlessly, embodies the artist's wish for people's happiness and peaceful living to continue into eternity.
